Default Uniden R7 Radar Detector Mount

I've searched the web and the forum and it seems the Blendmount is the only real option to mount my R7 without placing it on the windshield. I heard about a visor mount but can't seem to find it. What's the best recommendation to mount this out of the way and off the windshield?

Thanks in advance!

I recommend the blendmount. I got tired of sticking the detector to the windshield.
Vision and view are way better with the blendmount. Also much cleaner look.

I agree that the blendmount is a quality mount. Draw back is access to the top side buttons, still doable though.

Search Vision Mount on eBay. They make one for V1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 but not sure about your Uniden. This is called VISION not VISOR.

I got some eBay blend mount and it works perfectly, also tapped in to the mirror wiring, here's my R7 setup:

I’m not a fan of the blend mount. It blocks too much of your right vision and is something that PoPo can write you up for.

Don't know about your state but here in California, it's the opposite, they can write you up for having it suctioned on the windshield. The mount I'm using doesn't block any of the right side, full view front to left still, even left it on by accident when I went to Willow Springs Raceway and didn't notice it the whole track day.

I've used the same on my last two Vettes and love it. Doesn't block vision like hanging it under the rearview mirror would, and it mounts close enough to the windshield so that the visor is still functional.

I also just got a dash cam that I mounted on passenger side of upper windshield. Neither one gets in way of vision while driving.
