Default C6 base rear end upgrade?

So I just purchased a A&A Kit with the V3 TI head unit and a 3.8 pulley for my 2010 base. I already have headers, x pipe and Corsa exhaust. I am getting a cam installed at the same time as the supercharger and am getting a stall converter to match which cam I purchase. I do bring it to the drag strip and have some slicks for the car. I am very new to this level of modification and am looking for advice on what else I would need to possibly upgrade or change so I don't have any issues. Thanks in Advance!

How much boost? How much power are planning on making? How many miles are on your car? You can get away with stock trans and rearend with low boost levels assuming its all healthy. If you want to turn the boost up.. the pistons, rods, trans, rearend should be upgraded.

The 6L80E has a gear ratio spread of 4.03, 2.36, 1.53, 1.15, .85 and .67. At 500HP, the clutches in these units go out and at 700HP you WILL start hurting hard parts. ATI can build up your 6L80E transmission for up to 1000HP.

Also.. place a few calls. Lots of vendors do not put power limits as there are alot of variables. Give the guys at RPM a call.

Boost wise I was going to kind of leave up to my tuner, but he told me to expect around 600ish to the wheels with around 8-9lbs of boost. My car has 65k miles and it is an auto as well.

the stock 6l80 can handle over 500 hp no problem long as you have a good tuner. So many bad tuners have these trans a bad reputation. No need for a built trans, save your money.

rpm doesn’t deal with the 6l80 last I checked. Mine was probably one of the last ones they did back in 2011. They do have a pretty good tuner they use from Michigan I think, I believe his name on here is roadrebel.

I spent the last couple of weeks at the track trying to get alot of power down the track.I think the biggest thing you can add to your combo is suspension/shock/spring program to help you get that power to the track.Slicks are just a small piece of the puzzle.
