Default 2005 C6 absolution

Sorry if this has been out there??? I have the dreaded 2005 C6 and would like to see if there is any freestanding ( i.e. fast system) that would allow me to rid the original ECM in favor of ???? Just went to Coil Overs and removing the entire Mag ride system. Love the car but considering going MOD as to various items......any thoughts & advice is as always appreciated!!!!

Lost on the reason that you want to get rid of the E40 ECM,

But on the mag ride/F55 delete, just go into special BCM programming with a Tech II and shut off real time dampening in the BCM programing RPO list to remove the F55 problems of having the sensor for it deleted. Hence the F55 problems your having with the sensors deleted, does not have anything to do with the ECM directly, but the BCM instead.

Thanks, I realize the mag ride is not ECM related. My reasoning is that the 05 is all by itself as to ECM as I fried one a few months ago and went thru H.... to find a replacement and figured there may be an alternative out there along with onboard tuning capabilities?
Any thoughts ??

Problem is the ecm has to security hand shake with the BCM and other modules, and is the problem at hand with aftermarket ecm's not doing this correctly.

So dropping a LS into something non GM and using a stand alone aftermarket ECM for the motor, not a problem since it does not have to security key hand shake back to other modules isntead.

As for E40 ECM, short of water damaged units that the car was U boated, the only time I have see one bricked, is by a tuner that did not have a clue what they were doing in some of the throttle mapping perimeters to brink it in the first place.

Regarding E40's, with all the totaled 2005 vets, not hard to find a used replace when needed, and just need to reflash it once its installed in the car (Tis2000 for free). From there once it has been vin firmware flashed and security hand shaking correctly, then you can go in with HP tuner or EFI live and tune your hearts content.
