I've been having some wheel hop for some time now and I've tried changing tires and shocks to Michelin PS 4s and Bilstein HD (B6) But I'm still getting it. I've checked my motor mounts, no orange stuff leaking out. I recently got an alignment, but I wouldn't say they did a great job. If it was green they left it. So the specs for my rear wheels are in spec, but barely. I'm wondering if it's possible that the not so great alignment is causing, or contributing to the hop. Camber is -0.5* L, -0.1* R. Toe is -0.05* L, +0.08* R.
I don't want to hear about how I can drive around the wheel hop. I'm not drag racing, but if I come after it in first gear it hops, and I want it to spin. If I dump the clutch so the power hits hard enough it'll spin, but when it's on the brink of spinning it hops.
I did them each separately, control arms reduced hop about 50%, trans mount 30%, engine mount final 20%. Car feels much better, engine mount increases vibration a bit. No squeaks so far after 3 yrs.

Did you do both upper and lower control arms? Any downside to them?
