Twisted shifterz shift knob issue

I got a twisted shifterz shift knob from my brother in law as a gift and it only said for c6 corvettes not year specific. No. there is a difference in where the threaded hole is. I'm not sure which year made the change, I suspect 2008.

The MGW shifter will accept both early and late model shifter *****, may be a good time to get a new MGW shifter:
