Default Clutch replacement

To all who think their z06 may need a new clutch. My 2006 has 80000 miles on it. I've owned it since new. My mechanic said after a test drive there was nothing wrong. This is an excellent shop. If your clutch engages high on the travel none of the old cues work ( chatter, slippage). I had him tear it down and wear grooves on clutch plate were all most gone. This is just a cautionary tale. I know my vette. Best performance vehicle I've ever had.

No adjustment style clutches Vettes use vs. cables with nuts/jam nuts, the higher the pedal is the more worn the clutch is. You replace it when it starts slipping in any case, you'll know when that is.
