New to this so bear with me. Had battery replaced at the dealer. Now the HUD has display but does not show any gauges, etc. I pressed every button for the HUD with no change. Dealer has no idea. Wants me to bring back the car so they can "diagnose" the issue. Is there some reset or other thing I need to do when the battery is replaced? I had to reprogram the seats and mirror and save them. Is there something for the HUD? Thanks
Welcome to the forum. I've disconnected the battery many times, and it has not affected the HUD display. I've always been able to change the modes, or brightness etc. Using the HUD pod buttons.
Is it possible that the HUD pod connector came loose or became unplugged. That should be easily checked by removing the gage surround bezel.
It snaps into place. PDF attached
You only have to move the panel out a bit to check that the connector is OK.
Thanks....just seems odd it happened after dealer touched the car. Replaced battery and issue showed up
could he just coincidence. Never hurts to check the connector and the pins. If they are OK, then it is possible that the circuit control board of the HUD pod could have a cold solder joint, etc. The HUD pod can be purchased, GM part #20844868
Good Luck
