Differential vent replacement
At my last track day, my 2011 base (M6) started blowing smoke. There's a ton of gunk on top of the trans / diff. Someone suggested that the differential vent might have failed.
Now, anytime I really get on it, I smell gear oil.
I have no idea how that "vent" works, how it would fail, or really anything else about it. Is it something that can be replaced with the diff in the car? Any other suggestions?
