Round switch, about one inch in diameter, to the left of steering wheel, immediately on its left is the panel dimmer switch. Has three wires on the back (red, green, black). Local Chevy dealer replaced the evaporator which necessitated removal of the dash. Anyway, the three wires are not connected and I cannot figure out where each wire goes. Could not locate the switch in the manual that came with car, shop manuals I bought separately, or on line. What does it do, what is it called, which wire goes where?

Could be anything that was installed by a previous owner of your C6

The factory didn't install it.

That switch is for a Casper's fan controller.

Nice to have a switch to control the radiator fan ... but, if your not racing your Corvette, you more than likely would not install a manual fan switch.

Car might have a history of being driven hard.

Yup, that's the down side, for sure. Can't speak for everyone, but many guys use them to cool down between dragstrip runs.....
