Are all the rear cradles the same on the C6 manuals? Wondering if a 2007 cradle would work for a 2012 grandsport diff and trans...
I believe there's an early subframe ('05-'08, p/n 15864493) and a late subframe ('09-'13, p/n 25795639). As I recall, they changed the length of the torque tube by 5/8" or so in '09, which changed the position of the gearbox. The late subframes have elongated mounting surfaces and an extra set of mounting holes for the gearbox. I don't know if there were other critical changes.
At a glance, it looks like you might be able to use a late subframe on an early car but not vice-versa. I have not confirmed this.

I'm actually asking this because I am installing this in a C5 and I got a diff and trans off a 2012 so now I'm looking at the sub frame I need. From what you mentioned, I'm guessing I would use the older style sub frame in this case...
