Default Updating Brakes

Hi Guys,
Intending to install C6 Z06 rotors and calipers on my base 2013. Is the standard master cylinder suitable for this change or do I need to update this also
Thanks in advance.

Master cylinder and brake booster are fine, but keep in mind that the Z06 calipers stick out farther that the base calipers, and will not clear the inside barrel surface of base rims.

So will need to either use 8mm shims to push the base rims out farther off the wheel hub surface/ get either new longer studs or tire nuts that will thread in deeper to the stock studs, or new rims that have the needed barrel clearance, but not different off set that it has the end of the tires past the fender lips.

Hence you crash a tire into the fender lip, and you will be replacing the entire fender when it shatters apart.

As for the Z06 brakes on a base car, unless you are going to run R tire compounds to justify the extra bite of the brake pads, it's not much of a upgrade, since its the amount of tire grip that allows the car to slow down in the first place. So stock/street base tires with Z06 brakes, not going to slow you down any faster that the base oem brakes up to pair, and just going to get into the abs system with less pedal force isntead.

And FYI, the Z06 OEM value engineered brakes are far from being race brakes, since the OEM HD pads can not take the heat from high speed road course work, nor can the calipers since the seals in the calipers end up melting from the heat, as well as the oem piston not doing well with the high speed race heat a well. Bottom line, the reason that real race brakes cost so much, it's the component in them that are designed to deal with the heat to start with that jacks there price way up.

Thanks for informative response.
should have mentioned, I’m running Z06 wheels, and suitable tyre compounds.
Also, body clearances won’t be an issue with this project.
appreciate the response👍🤗
