06 base here. Accidentally shorted my battery/terminals and now the car wont turn over. Has code b1235. Looked around the fuses and none were popped. How can i tell if the ecm is fried? Hp tuners still shows some inputs when trying to start and everything else still works just wont crank over with plenty volts. Car was running fine before this. Where should i start? Thanks fellas

Shorted or reversed? If shorted, what touched what?
Positive cable touched the battery terminal while the neg was still hooked up
The positive cable contacted the positive terminal and made a little spark? It shouldn't have smoked your electrical system. Make sure your terminals are snug. What was going on that required disconnecting the battery?

i was hard wiring in the trickle charger to the terminals
Without any blaming (i did so worse...). This case explains the reason why "Red first off and last on"
Black off first and on last. You want the negative terminal disconnected before you put a metal wrench on the positive terminal. This prevents the wrench completing a circuit if it contacts the chassis. On a negative-grounded car of course.
