Z06 muffler mod question ( never asked)
My buddy is wondering if he could do the muffler mod without welding. Using jb weld and making sure it's 100 leak proof? Never thought of that. Is it possible? Using 3" long band clamps to cover perforated inner pipe as opposed to tubing. Thoughts?

If the mufflers are NPP's to start with, do not need to do the muffler mod, since it already has the straight through pipe section in the mufflers.
As for GM oem none Npp muffler mod, they do sound like trash in the end with drone, and better off going with either Borla or Corsa mufflers that will not drone.
If one does not have a welder, then just plate with self taping screws will work in the end.
As stated, they do sound like trash, so will not be on the car long once modded anyways.

To the OP, I would not trust JB weld to hold the can together. I have seen photos of band clamps around the perforations though.
