Default Refreshing valve train - Replace/upgrade rockers?

Hey everyone,

In the process of freshening up the valve train on my 09 Z I picked up last October. The car has 37k miles. Heads were done by one of the previous owners (not sure of mileage unfortunately). The LG G7X4 cam, lifters, pushrods and springs were done by previous owner less than a year ago. I currently have the heads off. Just hot
tanked them, and this week having spring test and all that other good stuff done.

In the meantime I’m wondering if it makes sense to replace the rocker arms, or add the CHE bronze trunion upgrade to my existing ones - or just leave them alone?

Also, it does have bronze guides and new exhaust valves. Are redoing guides a necessary thing? Or once they are done, they are done?

Thanks,
Rocco

I did the CHE trunion modification last summer. It reduced engine noise greatly, and I expect long life from this. I would do it again.

I just installed Brodix heads on my 2013 427 Convertible that has 45,000 miles. Everything came out great, and I reused the stock rockers. As ClothSeats has stated, the stock rockers are noisy, and I will be replacing with new rockers with the upgraded trunnions. I'm kinda sorry I didn't do this in the first place....
Stock rockers with upgraded trunnions will be more than adequate for most applications.
