Default Accessory Power from Battery

I have a 2009 C6Z with an after-market head unit and radar detector installed. The shop that did the installation ran power off the battery using the clamp down lug. Spade connectors for the accessories were placed on the lug on top of the concave clamp down nut and then secured using an additional nut. Now, I would like to add a wiring harness for a Deltran Battery Tender, but I'm not sure I have enough threads left on the clamp down lug. Has anyone come up with a better solution for this? Are there any aftermarket clamps that would work with the ACDelco battery that is better for this? Thank you in advance.

Instead of connecting your battery tender directly to the battery, I think it works out better to connect to the positive cable that connects to your underhood fuse box and then just find a convenient ground in the engine bay for the other connection.

Why not just plug it in the accessory outlet in the console. That is where I hook mine up.

I thought of that @sramzzz, but how do you exit the power cord from the cockpit?

There are drain indentions in the door sill. You just put the cord in that little slot and close the door. To make sure it is not pinched you can tug on the cord from outside and look inside and watch it move freely. My cord has a permanent bend in it now so very easy hookup.

if you need a pic let me know and will post one.
