Default HVAC issue

Hey there. Looking for any info on possible cause of HVAC problem on 2005 C6 coupe. Blows hot air out of defroster vent on drivers side and cool air on passengers side defroster vent. Cant get selector to move air from defrost to floor or dash vents. Cant seem to get hot change to cold on drivers side or cold changed to hot on pass. side with temp select dials. Thinking it is the control module in the dash or the blender valves (one or both) Any ideas on how to pin it down? Near 0 degrees here in CO right now so heat is not bad but, hopefully it will warm up one of these days.
Thanks

Before starting to tear stuff apart, get the freon level checked. A low level will cause the symptoms that you are experiencing. If the level is Ok, then it could be a blend door actuator. A Tech II scanner will show you the DTC's so you can replace what is bad or failed.

Good Luck

Thanks 4SUMERZ. Have a scanner coming next week so hopefully get some help there. Never considered the freon level. I'll get it checked.

Since is sounds like a door actuator problem, here to go on replacing such, without having to pull the dash.

This is a pic of the right door actuator…my C5 should be the same as yours but you can see the actuator with the glovebox removed and with the AC on try adjusting the passenger temp and you will see the aluminum gear in the center rotate as the temp is adjusted !!…when you get your scan tool you may see a data PID for the actuator and the value is “counts” which basically is a voltage and that voltage would change if you had a volt meter hooked up !!
