Z06 Brake Flex Line brackets
Are the correct brackets available?
Or is there something else I can do to stabilize/secure the flex/rigid line connection?
Thanks!
Greg
I do not understand exactly what you are asking. Pictures may help.
Are you saying your new Z06 flex lines do not mate up with the old Z51 solid brake line at the frame mounted bracket using the spring clip?
Attaching the flex brake line to the frame mounted bracket using the spring clip can be difficult. After you do it a few times it is easy.
I know of no difference between the Z06 and the Z51 bracket/spring clip assemblies which makes the attachment to the frame. I say this because the fittings between the flex lines and the hard lines are the same.
If you are also adding SS brake lines get the Spiegler lines. Do not use the Goodridge lines. The Goodridge lines are too long for the rear.

The source of my confusion is probably in how I interpret Rockauto's site and labeling for the brake hose options between the 6.0 and 7.0 for the 2006 Corvette.
I got the wrong parts when I first replaced my J55 lines and I was confused by RockAuto's number of choices and labeling.
I bought this: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=1792&jsn=2211
There is a pic of what the ends look like.
18J4575 and 18J4891 - those ends don't fit the brackets on my 2006 J55 - they were just labeled "rear"
This is probably where I went off the rails and shot myself in the foot,....
I bought these because they came with the brackets:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=1792&jsn=1292
They are labeled as for the convertible model.
When I upgraded to J56 brakes -
I thought that only the fronts were different - I bought the 18J4223 and 18J4224 Delco's and they worked no problem.
For the rears, I bought the Carquest hoses from Advance Auto - they are made by Sunsong, the same company that makes the ACDelco's
Adv Auto P/N's: BHA620792 and BHA620791
They appear to be these off RockAuto's site:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...=1792&jsn=2299
The ends were close to fitting the brackets but would not quite fit, I was about to pull out my file to work on the bracket when I posted up the question on the forum.
I used a nylon wire tie to stablize the hose to the bracket in the rear.
I've got the goodridge SS hoses in hand.
I see they come with brackets

And, I have subsequently noticed that the listings for "rear" brake hoses are different for the 6.0 and 7.0 on the 2006 Corvette.
thank you for the help!
Greg
Since they are longer it creates a higher loop length that can contact the wheel barrel edge.
They will work but be careful.
After every track day I put the car on jack stands for inspection. Once I noticed a wear mark on the OD of the wheel barrel (a black ring). It wore through the SS wire wrap. I considered myself very lucky that day.
