Default Flex fuel sensor placement

Well.. after long time of lurking and gathering information i cannot find any topics that fit my issue....

My issue is that I am at a complete loss on how to mount/install the DSX flex fuel sensor... Currently the car has AA stage 1 fuel system (return style) with the ECS bulk head on the tank, the (S) tube that came with the sensor is not going to fit anywhere so I removed the sensor from that however i cannot find a suitable location to insert this sensor. If I try to plumb it between the rail feed and fuel line it jams the stock fuel line up against the firewall.. I also tried to mount it on the stock fuel line in between the AA fuel lines and stock that pushed the AA lines at a horrible angle and i felt put a lot of stress on the sensor ends.. does any one have any pictures or advice on how they got this sensor in to not bind everything up?

Here is what I did: I bought some fittings from Racetronix. I got a 90º quick disconnect EFI fitting in 3/8 with an 8AN male end. I put it on the stock fuel line. I made a new hose and ran it over the brake booster and into the fender area where the line comes from the A&A single stage kit. I bought a tee with male, male, and a female coming off the "tee" portion. I cut the A&A line, and put it and the line I just made from the stock line to the male fittings on the tee. Then I screwed another EFI 90º into the tee. I clipped in the flexfuel sensor, then I just needed a hose with EFI ends (you can salvage the ones off the end of the A&A hose, or get new ones). My car is black and red, so I bought new ones to have black fittings, but that's just me. Then that goes on the flex sensor to the fuel rail. I had to make longer wires, but that's nothing a little soldering didn't fix.

I did it that way because:

1. if you put a flexfuel sensor in the A&A single stage kit, the split they put on the end of the hose is moved out of position and it kinks and looks all shoddy.
2. you want it to sense the content of the fuel even if the secondary pump isn't running, so you have to connect the stock and external supply and then go to the sensor, and this seemed like the best way to that and basically hide the sensor.

So, I had to buy:

2 90º EFI 3/8 fittings w/ 8 AN male
5 AN straight female hose ends
2 EFI 8AN connectors (I got the screw down type, not the plastic quick disconnects like the 90)
1 Tee
whatever you figure you'll need in 8 AN line

Pic your poison.

As for Ecm, flex fuel tables already there (just need to turn them on), as well as the needed terminal pin on the ECM connector as well.

i would have to go with Evilbeards method as the Y line in the AA kit does not give me enough clearance without it looking pretty shoddy.. i attached a mock up of the pictures which kinda shows the issue i am running into and I am probably going to have to make some new lines to to get this all to fit nicely.

the AA kit is perfect when not installing a flex sensor however with the sensor I have to find another route..

I know this is old Dano but I recently got my flex fuel kit installed, unhappy with fitment. Do you by chance have part numbers or description of the kit you made for your fuel line hoses it’s glorious! 🤌🏻
