Default Shorter Stock Motor Mounts?

Hello.

I am curious if anyone knows if there are any options for a shorter stock motor mount? Like would a stock GM motor mount from another LS powered GM car work in the Corvette but is also shorter in height.

The reason I ask is that I have been using the short Hinson motor mounts for a while. I like them a lot but I do have more vibrations at idle and at certain rpms with the Hinsons and while its not bad at all, it would be nice to have the stock smoothness that a factory motor mount provides. But I do still need a shorter mount to have good clearance for my E-force.

You don't want the Oem fluid filled oem motor mounts.
Its just a mater of time until the rubber gets weak/old, then split and the start leaking fluid as well.

Plus, if you are already running the poly rear mounts, not a good idea on the fluid filled motor mounts since engine to rear drive train flex will not be the same, to cause more problems long run as well.

Lingenfelter makes spacers that might drop your subframe enough to allow you to use stock mounts again with the blower.

Already using them.

I am using Forced Inductions blower spacer plates so to get good clearance I am using both the Hinson short mounts and the frame spacers.

Was just wondering if there were anything anyone had found for a shorter stock mount. It's always good to have options.

You might try pulling or getting some stock engine mounts (the aluminum ones that bolt to block and see if someone can fabricate a shorter duplicate. This was you could use a factory mount as the height reduction would be coming from the bracket instead. I think also the ZR1 motor mount is more stiff and yet the same height as the C6 and Z06 mount.

Yes, I am already using them. Was wondering if there was a shorter oem mount that might fit for better vibration isolation.

I am thinking I will purchase a set of used engine mount brackets and have the engine mount side machined to remove about 1/4 of an inch (6mm). Should still be plenty of metal to hold the engine. And then get the AMT mounts.
