Default ECM number question (help!)

Hi guys, I'm a bit confused and hope you could help/educate me, I was looking for a "N5650 Suspension Control Module, r&r 05/06" for my 2005 C6 Base, part number the dealer needs is "GM 15808061", when looking at alternatives I noticed there are 3 other part numbers asides from 15808061 which fall under the same module which fit 2005 - 2008 Corvettes, they are Part Number(s):
  • 25814227
  • 15808061
  • 10367688
  • 15229333

What's with the different numbers and will all of them work on my C6? Thank you!

GM 15808061 is a F55 module, not a ECM (engine control module).
If you give me the year and model of the car, easy to find the needed F55 module (if you cooked the old one and it really needs too be replaced).

Hence bring me up to speed why they are saying the old F55 module is having problems in the first place, since I doubt that its the F55 module needing to be replaced at all.

Thanks for the reply! You're right about the module my bad, so currently I have a "service active handling" error on the dash plus the dreaded front brake at low speeds which show the active handling when it happens... Scared the crap out of me.

The dealership installed the Suspension Control Position sensor LH which they said it needed plus retainer clip under the steering wheel, and the other thing they said it needed was the aforementioned module; They said with those three it should fix both issues.

I need the DTC codes they pulled and to see which one of them is tying back into the F55 system.

Guessing that they got the Steering wheel position sensor DTC and why they replaced the steering wheel position sensor in the column to resolve the active handing problem with the EBCM, but F55 does not tie into active handling for that system for the most part isntead.

On the F55 (read time dampening of the shocks), you have the F55 module (ESC module), the ride height sensors, the shock voltage control to the MRC shocks to adjust their dampening rates that directly tie into it, and the rest of what is needs for inputs, it gets off the Gm lan bus instead.
As for control of the system from cruse to sport, the select ride turn dial goes to the BCM, and the BCM will tell the F55 module what mode is should be in via the Gm lan bus.

Simply, if car will start, will suspect of any problems with the F55 module itself, and guessing problem with either ride height sensors or wiring, shock voltage control connectors or wiring, or if problem is with Rear units of the above, C184 and C184 connectors (22 and 23) since it the wire loom that goes to the back of the car, or cracked wire in that loom.

As for the F55 module, right above the ECM in the passenger side fender void, that you can access by removing the back panel in the wheel well.
