Air bag light with B0053 code

Air bag light with B0053 code
Got a 2011 Grand Sport with an Air bag light and a B0053 code (Deployment Commanded with Loop DTCs Present SDM). That is the only code. I've taken both seat connector apart and added di-electric grease to the connectors and done the zip tie trick and still get the light and code. From the research I've done that code is a "latched" code and cannot be cleared with a Tech 2. Car has never been in a crash and has a clean Carfax. If I had a wiring or connector problem that would not give a latched code would it? I'm thinking I have a bad Airbag Sensing and Diagnostic Module- GM 20991636. I don't have the a set of service manual for the car. I have an extended warranty with zero deductible but have to pay the diagnostic if the problem is wiring and wiring is not covered .All help and thoughts is deeply appreciated.

That code is obviously from the BCM; very curious about what the device you used to display the code. None of the cheap scanners I have display BCM codes and I need to purchase something to do just that...
