Welp it finally happened finally blew out my 2005 corvettes diff out unfortunately. Did a pull from like 20 and it just shot to pieces. What do you guys think my best options are? Car makes 450 whp & 430 tq but will be adding a few more things soon as well that should get me to near 500hp. I’m thinking of throwing in a diff from a 2012 base which I believe should work also hoping my trans survived. Say my trans didn’t to my understanding it’s just that shaft right ? That bends well my question is how hard is it to replace that if it can be done. Thanks appreciate all the help trying to prevent this from happening again I should not I also never never launch this car.
06+ Diff....check RPM Transmissions or Zip Corvette. There are numerous threads on here from people that have done the conversion and can detail how and what was done.
I did a 07 Z06 rear diff and trans with minimum of effort of splicing the reverse switch. (05 has two reverse switches,06+ has one) You can reuse your axles and torque tube.
Blew my 05 diff, what’s the best setup ?
