Hi All,
I was hoping I can get some ideas on fixing an issue I have. I just bought used Npp mufflers for my 2012 c6. One of them is fine but the other sounds like it has pebbles inside. I can hear them sliding around when shake the muffler. I tried shaking them for a while but no luck and my arms and back are killing me. Any ideas on how to get them out? I want to install these so badly but am hesitant to do the work and have the muffler rattle. Do you think it will rattle with the pebbles or whatever it is in there? Thanks in advance for any help!
If yours is like just about every rattling bi-mode muffler, it's the internal bulkheads that are cracked and causing the rattles. It's not a complicated repair for someone who's done it before. If you let us know where you're located, maybe someone can direct you to a shop that's familiar with the fix.
Thanks so much for replying! Seems odd to me because literally I can hear stuff moving side to side and up and down when I move the muffler. It sounds like a few pebbles or maybe pieces of metal or something like that. I live in Watertown, CT.

Even if it is something in there rattling around and not an actual bulkhead crack, it still needs to be opened up. They can cut it open on the top side. It will never be visible unless the mufflers are off. Easy fix for someone who's done it before.
