OK.
I have had my new to me 2011 GS for a few days now (my last car was a 2016 Challenger 392SRT). Driving this car is a blast. The corners are definitely more fun than what I could safely have had while driving the Challenger, lol.
I have noticed that the accelerator on my c6 seems to have a "heavy"feel to it. Nothing seems like it is sticking or catching. It just feels like I need to press harder to get it to go. My Challenger on the other hand had a "hair trigger" for the accelerator, when comparing both cars.
Is this "heavy" feel a thing in general for Corvettes? Or might I have something else going on?
Thanks in advance!
compared to other sports cars I have had, the C6 has a HORRIBLE delay with the peddle, and actual response with the motor. I fixed this with a throttle controller made by Vitesse. If you dont have any CEL, I would buy a throttle controller.
Just pray you get one that works. I had one and loved it until it almost made me run into a wall at my bank. Also there is ZERO support from this company. Maybe try a different company.
A Throttle Controller is the quick, easy and cheap solution. I had a Vitesse and it would occasionally throw codes and it would have to be recalibrated to correct the issue. I swapped it for a Solar TC and never had any issues, and as a bonus the Solar has Bluetooth so you can run the TC from your phone with no visible controls.
quick follow up, this is a base C6 throttle map. You don't get meaningful power until you are well over 50%. This is by design, but it can be adjusted with tuning software
I had the vitesse v1 and never had issues. Solar is good too though from what i've seen. and yes you can do a tune and map it, but you get many more options with a tc, its cheaper, and can be pulled to put back to factory within minutes.
Yup, new to c6 s as well and I thought the same thing, super heavy pedal and would only put real power down past 50%. I bought a throttle tuner for it, took 10 minutes and it’s normal now, how it should have been from factory.
