My tires seem to take grooves in the road too easily after reinstalling steering rack recently (upgraded harmonic balancer) making the steering feel erratic. Seems a tad better when I throw it in Sport mode to try and stiffen steering (automatic trans). Just had alignment. Would bleeding/replacing power steering fluid fix? Nothing seems loose and the alignment shop confirmed. New tie rod ends too.
Sure, a bleed wouldn't hurt and is easy enough.
You could flush also if bleed does not solve.
Maybe an hour's time and $25 in fluid cost.
Many may comment about road surfaces and wide tires.
Since the HB was replaced, loose bolts, hose routing, belt tension, tire pressure, and alignment would be the areas to inspect.
Tie rod ends could be suspect also.
After the bleed, I'd look at the PS belt tension (is it slipping?).
