Default AFR sensor placement

Installing the sensor for my AFR meter. Where is the best area to weld in the adapter for the sensor on your header. 2006 C6 base model w/ manual transmission.
TIA.

You trying to pick up just one cylinder, or all 4 cylinders?

If for all 4 on that side, in the X pipe after the head collector, 4" up stream before the cat.
If just one cylinder, then before the collector and just up stream of the OEM O2 sensor location.

Dano523,
Thanks for the info. Probably go in front of the x-pipe just didn’t want to get to close to the o2 sensor and cause more trouble for myself.

Here are some pics of how I do them. I like to weld an extra bung in the other collector as well for tuning/troubleshooting. Make sure the tip of the sensor is pretty close to the middle of the tube and angle the bung so the sensor tip angles down slightly so moisture will drain off. These are LG headers that i welded V band clamp flanges on to stop the leaking pieces of crap from stinking the car up!
The wideband bung is the bottom left header. The spare bung is on the other header.

ICANSKI2,
Thanks for the info and pics. Nice job. Good idea about adding the second fitting and just blocking it off.

My Kooks from the factory had a bung in the passenger side immediately in front of the cat:
