Weird HVAC issue
Loud screech noise and blower motor stops spinning! I check on the scantool and the motor is being demanded, all HVAC indications seem good, workshop manual indicates - 'Replace blower motor.' - so I ordered one from Rockauto for delivery across the pond...
Now i've put the new motor in and it works fine until you start the engine!! Thought it was a loose connection but i've been over the connector 10 times ensuring a good tight fit. There are three wires to the motor unit, 12V Batt, Ground, motor speed control. All seem to be doing what they should do and this is evidenced by it working faultlessly with ignition on, engine off. As soon as I crank the engine the blower dies (I think it should momentarily on cranking) and does not come back on? I can replicate this fault state every time.
When I back probe the connector, both the wires with positive feeds seem to do exactly the same thing Voltage wise?
What am I missing C6 gurus?
