Saw a video the other day, scraplife I think, where they said that Camaros with MT had LS3s, but the ATs had an L something with cylinder deactivation.
Is that also true with C6 Corvettes?

Nope, all LS3 Corvettes are the same, unless you have a MN6 GS which gets a handbuilt dry sump LS3.
The C7 was the first Corvette with DOD.

Camaros with the automatic were only 400hp too, versus 430 for manual trans.
