Borla Touring system fixed
Thinking back to the C5 "ti mod" where the C5 Z06 guys were installing a bypass tube that routed exhaust directly to one of the 2 outlets of the muffler and bypassed the muffler just to get more sound out of them, I went to a couple of local muffler shops in Reno, only to be quoted more than the cost of a new system to install what I wanted. So, I went back to my all-time favorite muffler shop, Johnny Franklins in Santa Rosa, CA. Their guy did the install in less than 2 hours for $200 and the results are just what I originally wanted. Interestingly, the drone appears to be gone, but I'll know for sure when I drive back home to NV tomorrow and climb the Sierras. The car now has a nice burble/rumble at idle, you hear it "somewhat" in spirited driving, definitely hear it nicely (but not screaming banshee) when you get on it, and if you get off it from higher rpm it gives that nice crackling sound on deceleration/engine braking.
I don't really have a way to get good audio of it, sorry. Here is what I had installed:

passenger side
