2005 C6 M/T - what diff will fit?

2005 C6 M/T - what diff will fit?
Hello.
I have recently broken the diff in my 2005 C6 Z51 with LS2 and manual transmission. Its very hard to find any parts where i live (Poland, EU) but i stumbled upon a listing of a 3.42 diff, the thing is, it comes from 2008 model year. The seller also has a transmission so there is an option that i can purchase both to swap out, is it true they will be stronger than trans+diff from 2005? Is it possible to swap both trans+diff from 2005 to 2008 plug and play? Or should i maybe purchase just the diff? Its a shame 2005 have bad reputation and a man cant even drift from time to time
Hopefully with swapped trans+diff to 2008 i could?
Also any tips for this trouble are welcome.
