My goal is to show that there are options when it comes to achieving a wide body. Starting with a pair of reproduction front fenders from JD_Corvette on ebay I marked out and cut a portion I could attach to my existing fender. Below are video pics and video of how I did it.
Original narrow body fenders compared to the new repo fiberglass units JD_Corvette makes a great fender, never got to check the fitment on the car but they came in great condition and would only require a little bit of prep if the goal was a ZR1 look alike Looking at the contour this was the rough shape I wanted. I had already done this in the rear to fit my drag radials so I got them to match in side as much as possible. Making them as symmetric as possible My wide rears Z06 repo fenders on my narrow body Fine touches with a file Clamped on to get an idea how it will turn out Clamped again and again Marked out holes to match the rear's mounting points Glued in washers for strength Machine screws to match the rear Zip tied in place while I pain hardware Getting somewhere Hopefully this lines up to the new Z06 front bumper going on removed narrow body mounting bolt, later went back and cleaned that cut up Front Planning out the vent Width comparison Vent cutout. The bottom was already opened to make room for the drysump tank 4.5 gallons of goodness Stuck out just a bit Needed a small window I was never a fan of, the new flares *should* cover this Wrapped the flares in 3M vinyl. Ive used a lot of the CF12 on my interior and covering exterior plastic The other side
