08 z06 grinding issues
Hello guys,
so I have an 08 c6 z06 and I just rebuilt my tr6060 transmission (new carbon-hybrid synchros, synchro sleeves, bronze shift pads and 1-2/3-4 shift forks) I also installed a used McLeod twin disc rst and a new slave cylinder along with a new pilot bearing. All gears work well except for 4th and it’s weird because it goes in fine except for the first time.
basically when I press in the clutch and put it in 4th I hear a grind and then I can do the steps again with no grind. It literally only grinds on the first attempt. This doesn’t happen always just sometimes and even when I’m driving going from 3-4 it grinds a bit going to 4th again only sometimes. I attached a video of what I mean.
what is everyone thinking. Bad rebuild? Clutch problems? Thanks guys!
