Default Need some help

So i have a 2012 Corvette C6 (LS3) base model, doing a cam swap soon. I'm just gathering parts.

My first question is; Is the cam gear a 4pole or 1pole?
Second question; What spark plugs, wires should I run? I've heard to stick with stock (AC Delco) but not sure of exact P/N.

it will be a FBO N/A car only. Thanks in Advance 🤛

The stock LS3 cam is a 1 bolt

Any of the aftermarket cams are 3 bolt, so you will need to get a 3 bolt cam gear (4 Pole)

Spark plugs, I personally recommend NGK TR55s but ask your tuner what he recommends. Wires are pretty subjective. I've been having great luck with the GPI (gwatney) wires. Turbo6ta has you covered on the first question.

okay, yeah im aware of the stock cam gear being 1 bolt and me needing a 3 bolt. I just didn't know if I needed a 1pole or 4pole because I was reading different years call for different poles for the cam sensor. But it wasn't too clear. Lol appreciate you though man, thanks for the info.

iridium plugs are are better plugs by far! Stay with them, I find Taylor wires to be really good and less expensive then others.

Regardless if the cam gear is a 1-bolt or 3-bolt, it has 4 trigger points. But Turbo6TA is correct, aftermarket cams and some of the stock GM cams are 3-bolts.

Spark plugs stick with stock or the equivalent in an NGK. Could go with a 1-heat range cooler plug as you will be producing more power which means more heat. The stock plug for a C6 ZR1 would be good. But the stock plugs would also work. You could ask your tuner about this.

Plug wires, stock is always good. I run a set of Summit Racing wires as they have a longer plug boot which is easier for me to grab and less likely to rip the wire out the boot.

I am assuming you will be running long tube headers and if so, some plug wire insulating sleeves is not a bad idea.
