z06 compression ratio problems
Hey guys I'm doing a full engine build on my 08' z06. The way ive specced out the build I sit with a 12.76 static and a 10.01:1 dynamic compression ratio. Ive been told a 9.5:1 dynamic is pushing the limits of pump 93 so 10:1 dynamic is warranting way higher octane fuels. Im trying to brainstorm ways to lower my comp ratio because here in dallas,tx there are very little e85 stations and id have to change injectors to run e at the power levels I want. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to push my comp ratio down?

I agree with Old Motorhead and Farmington. Thicker head gaskets are by far your simplest solution. Check with Summit online. Cometic makes a wide variety of multi layer steel and copper head gaskets in varying thicknesses. I recently did similar research for an FE Ford motor I was building and could drop compression over a point in that particular case.
