Default Tr6060 rattle

Hello all, I'm crossposting this in the c5 and C6 tech forums because it's a tr6060 in my c5 Corvette. When decelerating in gear, there is a knocking/rattle noise coming through the torque tube and into the shifter, which vibrates at the same frequency as the noise. Here's what I've observed so far.
-car on, not moving, clutch in and in gear - no noise.
-car on, not moving, clutch out in neutral - no noise other than lightweight flywheel chatter.
- car on, accelerating in any gear - no noise.
-car on, decelerating in any gear - clutch either in or out - noise and vibration. Noise is dependent on which gear, the frequency speeds up and slows down depending what gear it's in, even when the clutch is in. Also, at around 1000-1200 rpm, the noise disappears. Above or below that, the noise reappears.

What I'm hoping is that someone's going to tell me this is normal gear noise for a tr6060 and that I don't need an input shaft bearing.

Any questions please post a reply and I'll get back to you.

Riley
Edit to add: noise is more noticeable/frequency is faster when in lower gears: first gear = titititititititititi while third gear = ti ti ti ti ti

What do you get with car on, decelerating (coasting with no throttle), clutch in or out, in neutral?

No noise in neutral, or a MUCH less noticeable version of that noise upon further inspection. Coasting in neutral with the clutch in and putting the shifter into a gear(clutch still in) creates a very noticeable noise.

All right. Since you don't get any noise in neutral with the car moving, but do get noise as soon as you put it in gear, points to a problem with the transmission input shaft and/or countershaft. Those pieces are permanently geared together, but don't rotate in neutral with the clutch in even if the car is moving. However, they are forced to rotate by the rotation from the rear of the car as soon as you put it in any gear (even if the clutch is still in).

That's kind of what I had assumed. I edited the main post to include a video of what I was hearing. Hate to pull everything apart again 3 weeks after the transmission swap and one week after the clutch. The noise started suddenly, as well. Shifted third, heard a pop, then the noise.

Listened to the video. Noise is definitely not normal.

Can you give more details on your car? Mods, miles, parts used, what all was changed when you the clutch was installed, etc.

126xxx miles on car. Supposed 37k miles on trans and diff.
Xact prolite flywheel from act, act heavy duty pressure plate and flywheel, OEM slave cylinder and throwout bearing (which was measured and shimmed for throwout bearing clearance), pilot bearing.
Mods to the car: tr6060 and C6 differential, C6 rear subframe/suspension, c5 torque tube. No engine mods. Hurst Short throw shifter.

My prayer is that something got loose in the bellhousing or torque tube and is flapping around. I'll take it all apart and see what's up after I isolate where the noise is coming from.

Sounds to me like the differential gears are worn or not set up correctly.
Turn the stereo up and/or add sound deadening material under the rear carpet.
