water intrusion causing driver door issues?
hey guys im a technician at a gmc cadillac buick dealership, i have a 2005 c6 and when it rains ill get a security light on the ipc and my driver side window switches, door locks, and mirrors become inoperative. ive read the desciption and operation of how the systems work and am leaniing towards water intrusion at the driver door switch assembly. i had a u1000 code stored for no comm with the module. anyways wondering if anyone has seen this issue? im going to pull the door skin off tomorrow and see if i find anything obvious like some cheese on the terminals and gonna do some basic power n ground checks but figure id see what you guys have to say. according to service information description and operation, the mirrors, door locks, and power windows use the driver door switch assembly to take the input from the buttons and sends the signal to the motors for the window, mirrors and door lock actuator.. anyways chime in if you have any suggestions!
