Default Is this a clutch spring?

Just got home from a drive and as I'm pulling in the garage I hear a POP! WTF?!? Look down in foot well and see the below spring. I'm assuming it's the clutch spring but after doing a search on line the clutch springs I see for C6 are 2 much smaller black springs. Clutch pedal does return but not the last few inches like it used to. Any ideas what this is? The thing in my hand was wrapped around the spring.

Found out it's a Lingenfelter Performance clutch spring. Guess the car is sitting until I get the part next week

It looks like any common extension spring you could find at the local hardware store.

No need. Just remove the entire assembly and go back to stock.

This was a band-aid fix for the relatively common problem of the clutch pedal going to the floor and sticking. The actual fix is to replace the original master cylinder with the updated GM mc. The new updated part has a black reservoir instead of the white reservoir.

Looks like a special hi performance racing screen door spring. Should be easy to find at Home Depot.
