hey guys i have around 10-12 thousand i know its an insanely tight budget but on Copart i have seen c6 go for around 10k with very little damage and running and around 80k miles. I found a 2005 c6 with 150k miles clean title running perfect from what I've seen on Facebook for 10k the corvette will not be my daily driver so it doesn't cosmetically need to be in perfect I kind of want a project so I can mess around with it what are yalls thoughts.
the harmonic balancer is bad so from what ive heard that means you crankshaft can be bad and unbalanced
I wouldn't buy a 2005, especially as a project car. That year has too many one year only parts. Some of those are almost impossible to find.
The harmonic balancer wobble is a known issue for LS motors. It just needs to be replaced with a quality aftermarket unit.
I would stay away from that car, but not because of the harmonic balancer.

I’ve been hearing a lot of people tell me to steer away from the 2005s cause of the diffs for one but one last question is 150k alot on ls2 and ls3 motors like can they still be beat up crammed ect without worry of reliability?

My son's C5 LS1 has 170,000 miles on it and gets beat on constantly. If properly maintained LS2's and LS3's will last twice that. I put almost 300k miles on my 5th Gen Camaro LS3.
The problem the 2005 C6's are transmissions, differentials, torque converters, steering wheel upgrades, headlight upgrades, the same harmonic balancer issues all C6's have, ECM's are one year only and not available. The list goes on and on.
There are plenty of C6s out there in your price range with reasonable mileage. Look on all the big name car sites. First decide exactly what you want like others have stated above. Searching can be a grind but it's fun because you're shopping for a big toy. Keep in mind transport costs if you find one thats far. Be advised - be ready to buy quickly when you find THE ONE (you'll know it, you'll feel it) because if you don't there is most likely someone else looking at that car and ready to buy. I lost out on many excellent C6s when i first started shopping for a C6 because i hesitated. Best wishes on finding your Corvette (you'll smile ear to ear when you get to say "My Corvette").
The previous owner replaced it before I bought it. He said the cost was around $1200. Sorry, I don't know what the symptoms were but I know it is one of the issues the C6 LS2 can have.
