push button start don't work
The low down, is when you press the start button, BCM checks to make sure that RCDLR is picking up the fob in the car via 2 of the antennas, check to make sure that auto trans in park and you have your foot on the brake/manual trans has you pushing the clutch pedal all the way down, and once these are meet, will send the run comand to the ecm and use the run/crank relay on the bottom of the BCM to crank the starter for either 5 seconds or until the motor starts.
So on that note, put a tech II on the car, to make sure that the BCM is first getting the starter button signal, the needed other conditions have been meet for the trans type, and that its sending the crank signal (all of these can be check in BCM data), and the crank/run relay on the bottom of the BCM is fine
If getting no fob found in DIC, then RCDLR is not picking up the Fob via two antena's to prove that its in the car cabin (only one antenna has to pick up the fob for you to get into the car.
The fact that you can jump the starter relay to start it, means that the BCM is sending the run signal to the ecm, so its the other conditions and the run crank Relay that you may want to check on the bottom of the BCM (have to remove the BCM from the car to get to the bottom of it for that relay).
