LS3, How Hot is too Hot?

I had the same issue with my LS2. It got hot with the AC on. Sometimes when I turned the car off, the fans will stay on to cool it. GM says its a feature if the engine gets too hot. Maybe. I switched to a Dewitt's and the issue was solved.

So, if I understand this you are now trying to push air through from the front through the AC condenser rather than pulling air through the rad from behind? I think there’s about a 1” gap between the condenser and rad which goes through to the bottom. In the OEM configuration this might mean that not all the air flowing through the rad is forced first through the condenser and doesn’t get preheated, and also isn’t as restricted. My gut feel is that your configuration results in less airflow through the rad, and what reaches the rad is hotter when the AC is running. Only when your car is not moving fast enough, of course.
Nope, fan sits like the factory one and pulls air through.

Hey bud, your radiator may be good, but are the fins on your condenser clogged at all? did that get blown/cleaned out? A new rad may not do you any good if it cant get any air to it in the first place.
