Default Burnt coil

I found a loose wire on my 08 today and on inspecting it the coil ‘s neck is burnt and the wire is toast. This difficultly calls for new wires (any input on a good brand to go with is appreciated) . I am wondering if I can replace just this one coil or if I need to replace them all?
My car has a little under 50,000 miles on it.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Just one coil and one wire although it is difficult to buy just one wire. Maybe someone has a spare?

Well if you can afford it I’d just replace all of them…a little pricey …I just ordered a set of wires from Rock Auto my newly purchased ‘08…I’d stay away from purchasing anything from Amazon or EBay…too many counterfeit parts out there.

You only need to replace the one coil that is bad. You say you intend to replace all of the wires, so be prepared for other coils breaking at the high tension tower as you remove the wire. This happens because the plastic in the coils gets brittle after so many years. So, be very careful as you remove the wires from the coils, but it might not be a bad idea to buy one or two extra coils anyway because you will probably break some of them.

Kinda looks like your wire wasn’t pushed all the way in the coil making a proper connection leading to the spark having to jump causing it to burn Looks like anyway.

Thank you all for your input. I ended up just getting some OEM plug wires and coil that I found in stock locally. This way I am not stuck waiting for something to be shipped.

hope you all have a good weekend
