Hi All,
I've had it with the front of my Base Coupe scraping. I can't get in or out of my driveway without it dragging. I had it repainted over the winter and had the body shop leave the remains of the air dam off and it still scrapes. If I could get it raised about an inch all the way around, it would be fine. I've looked at lift kits and don't want to bag it if there is another way.
My life long friend, Tom Bryant, suggested buying a C8 and then removing its front lift system and adapting it to my C6. That sounds a little extreme.
Thanks all,

Hello tektrans.
I wasn't aware that they were adjustable. Can you get an inch out of them?
Thanks for the reply, I'll check it out,

The rubber bushings on the bottom of the height adjusters tend to fall apart over time. This causes a gradual lowering of the car. Does the scraping seem to be getting worse?
The total adjustment range is more than an inch. The amount of adjuster thread sticking out the top of the spring is the amount of additional height available (subject to the motion ratio, which is close enough to 1 for our purposes).
The maximum ride height with a stock setup would be achieved with new, unworn adjusters cranked down all the way. Get an alignment after.
This company sells an air lift kit that can be used on C6s if you have coilovers.
I saw it here on Toys4Life's youtube channel. Go to 2:20 if it doesn't automatically bring you to that timestamp.
Thanks ApexClone,
I really don't want to mess with the pumps and storage tank, I use the Vette as my driver during the summer and need the space. I will keep this in mind if there is no other solution.
Take care,

Thank You torquetube,
I'll have to get it on a lift and take a look. I have not seen a gradual deterioration, they did ad a layer of chip and seal to the road. Before that I could exit and enter on an angle without scraping, I'm pretty sure that is the problem.
Again, Thanks for the info,
