As for pins, use anti seize on them with the correct amount of torque, and will be easy to get them out and put them back in (they are designed to be reused) on the next padlet change. Don't and could be major PITA when they seize in place instead.
I have never removed the guide pins, and I swap back forth between 1pc pads for track (no spring clips) and padlets for street (with spring clips) regularly. There is no need to mess with the guide pins...you can load/unload pads through the mouth of the caliper ...which needs to be removed anyway.
