Default Need advice on power mods

Wanna build up my ls2 I believe a lifter went bad so we’re gonna be tearing it down.Need info on the best heads and cam set to make good power and it is an automatic. Thanks in advance for any info given.

LS3 heads and intake would be a cheap start.Add in the cam of your choice and headers and you are off to a good start.The LS3 heads and intake flow really well.

Assuming you're interested in raw acceleration vs simply numbers on a dyno sheet, a SS4000 Yank converter will make the biggest improvement for your dollars.

Heads are coming off for the lifters so looks like OP wants to make the most of it, turn a negative into a positive.

I had sent my stock LS2 heads (243) to Katech for CNC porting. They also found the valve guides out of spec and replaced them (around 60k miles) Cam will depend on your future goals with the car. Don't skimp on valvetrain.
