well guys i was driving to the gym and noticed my car temp got extremely hot so of course i checked coolant level all was well then as i got home i noticed i the fans didnt come on so i checked the fuse panel and found this.....
Plenty of "radiator fan plug melted" threads on here. When it's hot and the fan is on max, it draws a butt-load of amps and can eventually overload the circuit.
Not fun to get the problem on a ferry in south Texas in the dead of summer. The plug has 3 wires.....I spliced a length of 10 ga wire on each side of the connector, bypassing the fat power wire through the plug.
yea but still guys what about the fuse in the under hood fuse box???
Since there are no responses to your issue, I’ll take a stab at it. Why not try a soldering iron and some soldering wick. Get the wick between you melted fuse and soldering iron and try to wick(remove) the melted stuff, I would think the plastic would just pull apart under removal.?
Hopefully this process would leave the fuse blades(in fuse box) somewhat intact? I guess you won’t know until you get down to them.
Keep us informed of your progress, as I haven’t had the luxury of this issue but I recently had the melted fan connector issue and C5Diag member was a big help. I’m surprised he hasn’t chimed in on this.?

thank you at least you gave me something to try or think about
OK, since I don't know what you've tried to remove it yet, did you try just using needle nose pliers to pull it out? Or, break it up and remove it piece by piece?
Did the fuse plastic actually stick to the fuse box?
