I’ve come to the decision to either supercharge my C6 or buy a faster car. My main concern is reliability after boosting. Can someone with experience comment if there is a major reliability loss when boosting an LS3!
I have a 2008 base auto with an axle back exhaust, just about to hit 92k miles.
Thinking on going with A&A’s CARB legal supercharge kit which should be making 550 to the wheels on the CARB legal tune
Quality of the install and tune has a lot to do with reliability. As does how you drive it. With over 90k miles you should do any maintenance needed prior to install. I put over 70k miles on a fairly high effort Magnacharged (MP112) build on a 2002 Avalanche. 285 OEM hp, 475 hp build - cammed, pullied down, 2600 stall. Zero issues and zero supercharger maintenance needed.
I don't know the particulars of longevity for centris before a rebuild is required.
I wouldn't be afraid to do the build given your description. Keep the car properly maintained, don't incessantly beat on it, and you should get a lot of miles of smiles.
You're down the street from A&A. It's basically a no brainer to go to them. Ask them what they recommend and then have them do their thing when you're ready.
That's the best way to go honestly.
People start with CAI, headers/exhaust, intake manifolds then go to heads cam etc-and in my case plus 5 stroker motors over the years in various vehicles for God knows how much money and extended downtime to boot.
My current car, my C6 I just went straight to the supercharger, 1 week down time and the car runs awesome and the best hp per dollar out there.
I'm in the North East so ECS had my car for about a week and when I picked it up the dyno sheet read 582 whp and that was through my A6 with their BASE kit.
Only other mods I have are shorty carb legal headers, EWP and a Corsa Sport out back.

You'll LOVE it!
I agree, I was told the same power numbers from the kit. That will be plenty for me, my C6 is already fast as it is!
