Has anyone else stalled the LUK clutch kit 04-905 in their C6 Z06 ? Some websites claim it is virtually the same as the LUK 04-216 kit. However some website say the 905 is for c5 corvettes and the 216 is for the c6 .. got on the phone with LUK and the girl wasn’t very much help as she could not tell me the difference between the two. All they did confirm is that each one requires its own pilot bearing and slave which is not part of the actual kit anyway.
went ahead and installed the 04-905 anyway and now there is no clutch pedal and we’ve gone through the whole hydraulic system including changing the MS and vacuum bleeding the whole system. Tried everything we could before we tear it it all apart again.
I know you have no clutch pedal, but is the clutch engaging?
Yes it won’t disengage actually .. won’t go into first or reverse when the car is on .. spoke to LUK about the situation and according to them I was sold the wrong clutch .. I’m supposed to have the LUK 04-216. The one they sent is indeed for c5 z06 with the 5.7. Apparently the pressure plates are different.

tell me about it. LUK themselves is having me fill out some paperwork for a labor cost claim .. I’m already 3400 in the hole just on labor for a clutch job
