On my 07 c6 my tail lights won't turn on, my turn signals, hazards, and brake lights will work though. Ice already checked the plug behind the far right passenger light and it seemed OK. I did hit a bad bump about a week ago that turned off some minor lights in the interior (I believe a couple minor things turned off but the one that I still notice is that the light that alluminates my P,R,N,D,S have been turned off since that bad bump.) So I'm not sure if it is a fuse problem or maybe a ground problem.
Anything helps, thank you.
Do you have a 12 volt test light and a DVOM ??…if so we may be able to help.
It would be a couple days before I would have access to one since I'm away from all of my tools and stuff. If I cannot figure it out with my limited tools I have ill go to the shothi have access to for a few day and reply back to this message, what would I be needing to test?

Sounds like possibly a bad Park Lamp Relay #37 with what you are seeing...you can try swapping it with the horn relay (make sure the horn is working first) and see what happens...also check Park Lamps Fuse 8 (hot at all times) to see if it's blown...always best to check BOTH sides of the fuse with a test light and make sure you have power to both test points......if still no good we will have to look at the relay circuit.

Thank you, will check tomorrow if not tonight and will update 👍

M6 or A6,
If A6 then the problem is not the BPS, since that would need to be working to start the car in the first place.
If M6, then could be either the BPS needs to be relearned from worn forks, or just replaced and relearned instead.
Hence would put a Tech 2 on the car to see if BCM data is showing the BPS trigger to turn on the brake lights with pedal push, or if not activating, then quick BPS relearn for the BCM to learn the new ohm readings of the worn sensor.
The Brake position sensor on the car is not a on/off switch, but a Ohms reading switch that the BCM needs to learn it at pedal rest position ohm reading, then pedal pressed ohm reading, and if the forks on sensor are worn enough against the pedal stud, will not be able to press the pedal hard enough to reach that old learned ohm leraned pressed reading before the BCm will trigger the brake lights.
If BCM is triggering the brake lights with brake pedal press, then its just a matter of finding the problem in the brake light circuit isntead.

forgot to reply but I fount the issue, fuse 8 was blown. Replaced it and everything is back to working beautifully. Greatly appreciate the push in the right direction of the issue.

Great !!…either had to be the relay or the fuse !!
Here is the second sheet to C5 Diag's post. Are your left and right marker lights out also? License plate lights?
Hey I know this is an old thread but I'm having a similar issue, except the tail lights license plate lights completely are off. The rear marker lights look super dim I can hardly tell they are on. I've also noticed the trunk button does not work when I press it and it only works with the key fob which also just started happening.
I've checked a couple fuses I think #5, 8, and few others in the passenger compartment. Any idea what else I should check?

As a new member we need to know your model year as a MINIMUM…if your markers are dim that is usually a ground issue..G302 is the ground you need to access…right B Pillar behind the trim panel…this wiring is for an 08.

sorry I Should’ve added more info,
it’s a 2006 z06. I just added front LED turn signals w resistors, high beam, low beam, and fog lights. I’m not sure if maybe that could have something to do with the rear lights not working. I’ll go ahead and check that ground though and send an update afterwards

Just remove the marker light connector and take a 12 volt test light and connect to B+ somewhere and touch the tip of the test light to the black wire terminal on the marker connector…if the ground is good the test light will be bright… I use various test lights of different amperages to match the circuit…front shouldn’t affect the back.
