I bring this up, since way back, most tuners where locking their tunes in fear that someone would see/use them in some way (maybe on a base motor with no mods), and just caused the problem of locking out the needed GM electronic service tools for the rest of the car. Now adays, if a tuner has to use someone else tune since they are clueless to begin with, you don't want them tuning your car to start with (their record of blown motors from bad tunes will speak volumes, not matter Who tries to hide that information from the public).
