Default Back in the saddle again!!!

Hello Everyone,

After five years of retirement with very little high-spirited driving, Ross Wegge, Glen Claycomb, and myself decided to take our C6 Grand Sports down to the roads I used in southeastern Ohio to ring them out for a few days. Honestly, over the 2 days, I realized just how much I missed driving a Corvette as fast as I am comfortable doing on some of the best roads in the world. Probably the best quote and I heard was from Glen, when he said, “I don’t think I can ever go to the Tail of the Dragon again.”

We drove several hundred miles on the first day alone. Once you get on the main body of the route, I don’t think you go straight for more than ¼ of a mile.

Over the last year I thought a lot about creating a new calibration specifically for roads like this. Since we were going, I thought this would be a great opportunity to experiment with it. I am calling it Super Sport Plus.

Even though Super Sport is an excellent calibration for high-spirited driving, I still gave it consideration to balance out ride quality with the greatly improved handling.

Super sport Plus is a take no prisoners, hard-core, twisty road, high-spirited driving calibration. I gave the handling algorithms as well as wheel and body damping significant more authority. It is a significant improvement over Super Sport for handling. Ride quality was given very little consideration. Having said that, the rough road drivability is still significantly better than what the C6 had with its original production calibrations.

We experimented with several different variations for Super Sport Plus and came up with one that was definitely a hit for all involved. The thought was if the road gets too rough for Super Sport Plus, we can always put it back into Tour.

I was encouraged by Ross and Glen to offer Super Sport Plus as part of the packages I currently offer. It will take some time for me to create calibrations for all models, but I am strongly considering including Super Sport plus into the matrix. If I do, I will also come up with a pricing structure for folks who already have had the upgrade and still would like to get Super Sport Plus.

For information about all the Magnetic Ride Upgrades we offer I invite you to visit my website www.jimmero.com. There you can view the upgrades offered for your car and more importantly the testimonials from all the folks who have already received the upgrades do far.

Thank you, Jim
